OUR HISTORY
Dr. Ransom Rice , a native Auroran, began this practice in 1947 in downtown Aurora after graduating from the University of Illinois Dental School.
Dr. John Cummins, a 1979 graduate of Northwestern University Dental School joined the practice in 1982 and took over ownership in 1993. He relocated to the present location in 1995. Both dentists enjoyed lengthy careers and considered themselves fortunate to have provided care to such great patients.
Dr. Amber Wishnevski, a native Chicagoan, graduated from Indiana University School of Dentistry in 2008 and returned home to practice in the suburbs since then. She took over ownership of this practice in 2019. Dr. Wishnevski shares Dr. Cummins' conservative nature in regard to dental treatment. Both pride themselves on addressing necessary issues before emergencies arise, but never over treating. In her free time, “Dr. Wish” enjoys spending time with her husband and three small children, running and compiling family photo albums.
OUR SERVICES
Routine Exams
Regular dental exams are a critical part of preventive health care. We check for cavities and gum disease. The exam also includes evaluating your risk of developing other oral problems and checking your face, neck and mouth for abnormalities.

Dental Hygiene
Dental cleanings remove plaque and calculus deposits (tartar) that have built up on teeth over time.
A "deep cleaning" (SRP: scaling/root planing) focuses on the root surfaces below your gum line. This special cleaning can help slow connective tissue loss, bone loss and tooth loss in patients with gum disease.
Dental Fillings
Fillings are used to repair cavities and teeth that have been chipped or worn down (such as from nail-biting, tooth grinding, aggressive brushing).
Crowns
A crown restores the tooth to its normal shape, size, and function. It can protect the tooth from fracture or improve the way it looks.

Tooth Replacement
We will review your tooth replacement options with you, whether they be fixed (implants, bridges) or removable (partials, dentures).

Teeth Whitening
Custom trays from a dentist are vastly superior to any over-the-counter options. We will take the time necessary to evaluate your needs and fabricate teeth whitening trays for your unique mouth.
